1. Service Description

BookMorph ("we", "our", "the Service") provides an AI-powered book translation tool. BookMorph is a software tool, not a publisher or content distributor. We provide the technology; you provide the content and retain all rights to it.

2. User Rights and Responsibilities

2.1 Your Content Ownership

  • You retain full ownership of all files you upload (input) and all files generated by our service (output)
  • We do not claim any rights to your content
  • We do not store, distribute, or publish your translated books

2.2 Copyright Compliance

By using BookMorph, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own the book you are uploading, OR
  • You have explicit permission from the copyright holder to translate the book, OR
  • The book is in the public domain

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to translate any book you upload to our service.

2.3 Prohibited Use

You may NOT use BookMorph to:

  • Translate copyrighted books without authorization
  • Circumvent digital rights management (DRM)
  • Engage in any illegal activity

3. Service Limitations

3.1 No Guarantee of Quality

While we strive for high-quality translations:

  • AI translation may contain errors or stylistic differences
  • We provide a free preview to evaluate quality before purchasing full translation
  • Translation quality depends on source material and language pair

3.2 Technical Limitations

  • Maximum book length varies by membership tier
  • Processing time depends on book length and system load
  • File format support limited to EPUB and PDF

4. Payment Terms

4.1 Membership

  • $1/month membership grants access to translation service
  • Pay-as-you-go pricing for actual book translations
  • Payments processed via Stripe, Paddle, or PayPal

4.2 Refunds

See our Refund Policy for details. In brief:

  • Full refund for technical errors (corrupted files, missing content)
  • No refund for subjective quality preferences after preview

5. DMCA Compliance

5.1 Copyright Infringement

If you believe content on BookMorph infringes your copyright:

  • Email: support@bookmorph.io
  • Include: Your contact info, description of copyrighted work, proof of ownership

5.2 Response

We will investigate and remove infringing content within 24 hours of validated claims.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • BookMorph is provided "AS IS" without warranties
  • We are not liable for copyright violations by users
  • We are not responsible for translation accuracy or suitability
  • Maximum liability limited to amount paid in past 12 months

7. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that:

  • Violate copyright laws
  • Abuse the service (excessive API usage, fraud)
  • Violate these Terms of Service

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
