Is this even legal? What about copyright?
BookMorph translates books you already own, for your own reading — the same way you might convert a file you bought to read it on a different device. Your translation is delivered to you alone: we never publish it, share it, sell it, or build a library out of it. You can't use BookMorph to distribute translations.
How is this different from Google Translate or ChatGPT?
Structurally, not just qualitatively. Those tools translate the chunk in front of them with no memory of the rest of the book — so names drift, terms change, and the voice resets every few pages. And neither takes an EPUB nor returns one. BookMorph reads the entire book first, builds a glossary and style profile that hold for all 400 pages, translates in two passes (draft, then line-by-line verification), and rebuilds your original EPUB. No — preserving the book is half the product. Every image, chapter break, footnote, and table-of-contents entry stays exactly where the designer put it. The only thing that changes is the language.
Can I read it on my Kindle? What files do you accept?
Yes — that's the whole point. We accept DRM-free EPUB files (plus MOBI, AZW3, CBR, CBZ) and return a clean EPUB validated against Amazon's Send-to-Kindle requirements: correct cover, working table of contents, proper language rendering. It also works on Kobo, Boox, or any e-reader. Note: we can't process DRM-locked files, so books bought from stores that lock their files need to be DRM-free first.
